Former Vice President Joe Biden, the current presumptive nominee for president from the Democrat Party, is falling apart.
He finally addressed the sexual assault allegations on Friday with, what he likely thought, would be a softball interview on MSNBC.
But unlike CNN, MSNBC has not taken a handle Biden with kid gloves approach and he found that out when he sat for an interview on “Morning Joe.”
I don’t know what’s in Biden’s University of Delaware papers but he really doesn’t want people seeing them.
He won’t even agree to a search of documents just with Tara Reade’s name on them. pic.twitter.com/oavzsdRax2

Biden made his mistake when he called on the National Archives to release any records that show a complaint against him by his former staffer Tara Reade.
The reason it was a mistake came when MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski asked him why he would not allow the same search for her name to occur in the University of Delaware records.
The look on his face, as he stumbled and fumbled to find any excuse of why he would not allow that, could be the nail in the coffin of his campaign.
“The first is about your University of Delaware records. Do you agree with the reporting that those records were supposed to be revealed to the public and then they were resealed for a longer period of time until you leave ‘public life?’’
“And if you agree with that, if that’s what happened, why did that happen?” the host asked Biden who had a prepared answer.
“The fact is that there’s a lot of things of speeches I’ve made, interviews I did overseas with people, all those things related to my job, the idea they’d all be made public while I was running for public office, they could be taken out of context,” he said.
“They’re position papers, they’re documents that existed and that when I met with Putin or whoever, all that could be fodder in a campaign at this time. I don’t know anyone who has done anything like that.”
Sounds good right? Nice and prepared and makes sense? What he was not expecting was the next question from Brzezinski
“Are you certain there was nothing about Tara Reade in those records?” she said to Biden who interrupted to declare “I am absolutely certain.”
“If so, why not approve a search of her name in those records?” she said to complete her question.
That is when Biden looked like a deer in headlights. Like a man searching for an answer that sounds remotely believable.
“A search of her name?” he responded.
“Yes, and reveal anything that might be related to Tara Reade in the University of Delaware records?” she said.
“There is nothing. They wouldn’t… They’re not there. And I, I, I… you know, I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make! There are no personnel records by definition,” he clumsily said.
“I’m just talking about her name, not anybody else in those records – a search for that,” she said.
This was followed by the most awkward moment of stone cold silence you have ever seen/
“Why not do a search for Tara Reade’s name in the University of Delaware records,” she pressed.
“Look, I mean, who does that search?” he said.
“Perhaps the University of Delaware?” she said.
If an interview ever, in the history of politics, made someone look guilty as hell, this is that interview.
