Democratic National Committee Communications Director Xochitl Hinojosa sent shockwaves through the politisphere with a strange statement on Fox News.
Talking to Bill Hemmer, Hinojosa seemed to suggest that her party was not officially nominating Joe Biden and that a convention was needed.
“There’s a real possibility the convention does not happen or it happens in a virtual sense. Is that correct as of today?” Hemmer said.
“First of all, our convention has to happen, because we are not officially nominating Joe Biden in order to take Donald Trump,” Hinojosa said.
“So our convention is happening. There is business that has to happen,” she said even as Biden is the presumptive nominee.
The idea that the party would nominate someone other than Biden is a massive bombshell that no one could have expected.
She has not made any statements since her appearance to walk back what many believe is a tacit rejection of Biden.
“Someone should probably tell Joe Biden that the DNC Comms Director just said this on national television.” Congressional candidate Lauren Boebert said with the video.

Not sure why this isn’t getting much more attention. Seems like a big deal

I feel like they are going to switch someone out last minute. No way the put him on a debate stage with Trump. He would chew him up and spit him out

The puppet will be replaced. He’s a failed candidate. I wonder who their backup is? ?

I don’t know how else to interpret this
Is she just straight up saying they need the DNC to happen so they can nominate someone other than Biden?
Was she trying to say the nomination is not just about Trump?
It reaaaalllyy sounds like Biden won’t be the nominee https://t.co/GwQsY2Tp58
