The Democrat Party has made a habit of making heroes and martyrs from the dregs of society because it fits their narrative.
When a thug is shot after fighting police during the commission of a crime this person becomes their new cause celbre.
This is what happened in the case of Jacob Blake, a man who was shot after fighting police who were arresting him for a warrant that included sexual assault, The Washington Examiner reported.
A man broke into the home of the mother of his children while she was sleeping, sexually assaulted her with one of her three children sleeping beside her, and stole her car keys and debit card, a criminal complaint issued by the state of Wisconsin reads. When the police were called to respond to that man again harassing the woman in violation of a recent restraining order, the police pursued him on the open warrant for his arrest as a result of the initial sexual assault. The counts included third-degree sexual assault, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct. The man, who had in tow three of children, attempted to resist arrest, escaping two tasers and reaching into his car where a knife was stowed.
Presumably fearing for his own life and the lives of all nearby, a police officer shot the man in the back.
The woman who survived the sexual assault has been pretty much ignored. But Jacob Blake, the alleged assailant, is now the darling of the Left and the media. Not only did he stand accused of that assault, but he knowingly endangered his own children’s lives by attempting to flee the police.
This is the man who former Vice President Joe Biden and California Sen. Kamala Harris, the nominees for the presidency and vice presidency of the Democrat Party have made into a martyr.
This is the man whose family Biden and Harris phoned to offer their support and to demand “justice” for.
“I spoke to Jacob’s mom and dad, sister and other members of the family, just a little bit earlier,” Biden said in a video he shared to Twitter.
“And I told them: Justice must and will be done. You know, our hearts are with his family, especially his children. It’s horrible what they saw, watching their father get shot,” he said.
What about Blake’s victim? Where is your heart for the woman who was sexually assaulted and menaced by this man?
“What I saw on that video makes me sick. Once again, a Black man, Jacob Blake, been shot by the police in broad daylight with the whole world watching,” the former vice president said.
“Put yourself in the shoes of every Black father and Black mother in this country, and ask: Is this what we want America to be? Is this the country we should be?” he said.
Put yourself in the position of his victim and ask yourself is this who you want to be made into a hero?
“What happened there is so tragic and still represents the two systems of justice in America,” Harris said at an event on Wednesday.
“There are still two systems of justice in America and … we need to fight again for that ideal that says all people are supposed to be treated equally, which is still not happening,” she said.
Blake has been charged with third degree sexual assault, domestic abuse, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
He was shot as he reached for a weapon in his car, police said, and after he fought with them and ignored their commands.
Biden and Harris are correct. There is a choice in November of which America you want for you and your family.
One where we believe that our law enforcement officers are heroes or another where Jacob Blake is.
